Amaesi which is a short form of Associate Membership Examination is designed for assessing the knowledge and experience of those pursuing career in aeronautics engineering. It is a professional examination which requires members to upgrade on their field of competence and it is conducted wo times within a 12 calendar month. Amaesi is more pronounced in India and besides its door widely open for graduates of 12th standard, the Indian air force also participate in Amaesi. Anyone with B.Sc qualification with interest in pursuing career in aeronautics can also apply for Amaesi. However, such an individual or group of persons must be graduates in chemistry or Physics discipline.

Composition of Amaesi
Amaesi is structured based on the plan of Aeronautical Society of India. It is an umbrella for pilots, airmen, aero contractors and engineers in India to obtain professional degree in Aeronautical engineering. This degree is as equal to bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering and has been duly recognized by the Indian government. The Aeronautical Society of came into existence in the late 1940’s. Since then it has been championing the course of professionalism in the aero industry of India. In addition, Amaesi is composed of two sections namely, section A and B respectively. The two sections are essential to attempt before being awarded with a certification as an aeronautical engineer.
Necessary Conditions that must be satisfied
As an aspiring aeronautical engineer who intend to sitting for Amaesi, you’ll need to either be one of those who have previously taken an examination organized by the Aeronautical Society of India prior to the year1998. Apart from that, anyone who have already gone through intermediate exams that is similar to 12th studies completion can also be eligible to apply for Amaesi. In addition, a first degree holder in Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry is also a good fit to pursue aeronautical engineering with Amaesi.
Compulsory subjects to be taken
In every exams there are subjects needful to ensure that the examinee are properly assessed based on their field of aspiration or discipline. As a matter of fact, the essence of a credible examination boils down to the kind of subjects which are involved. So also is Amaesi, you’ll need to know that subjects like workshop technology, fluid mechanics, applied mathematics, drawing and designing in engineering, basics of aeronautics (introduction to engineering), basic electronics, electrical engineering, software and microprocessor engineering, thermodynamics in engineering, and strength of materials are the subjects you must prepare to sit. These 10 subjects constitute the section A of Amaesi.
